WELLINGTON. July 6. The heir presmuptive of Baron Lyveden, of Lyveden, Northamptonshire, Mr. Svdney Munroe Vernon, is a foreman carpenter employed at a motor works in Wellington. A London cablegram reported that the editor of Burke 's Peefage was endeavouring to trace a branch of the family which eetablished itself in New Zealand 50 years ago. Mr. VernoA said today that he was the missing heir. "If the t-itlo comes to me I would certainlv go to England but I would not stav there. I prefer New Zealand where i have spent my life," said Mr. Vernon. He added that he was nearihg 60 years of age and thought the titi o might go to his only son, Mr. Ronald Ooeial Vernon, a painter, of Te Aroha. He was inclined to think that death duties would probably have crippled the estate by the time it passed to either him or his son. Mr. Vernon, after reading the newspaper cable this morning, went to work as usual.
