WHY SCHOOLS NOT CLOSED
WELLINGTON, July 5. Answering a questiou why Wellington schools were not closed now when the number of infantile paralysis cases was apparently greater than at Ohristmas, an official of the Health Departinent said today t-liat the position was known to the department from day to day. The questiou of blanket restrigtious liad not been considered by the department and no drastic steps were considered necessary' at the moment.
