Wash-house Demolished By Fire

Answering a call at 10.5 p.m. last night, the Otaki Voiunteer Fire Brigade on arrival found the washhouse at Mr. E. B. Anderson's resljdence in Rangiuru Road well alight, and concentrated their efforts on the adjoining house. The washi liouse was domolished, but apart 'from badly charred walls the house ■ sufl ered no damage, thanks^to tne prompt arrival of the brigade. The property is owned by tne Mills' Estate, and was occupied by Mr Anderson. Mr. Anderson, who is on transfer to Patea, movea out at noon, and the premises were therefore unoccupied.
