Magnificent British Children

Spe&kihg in Paris after a visit to Britain, Professor Henri Boiiriet, Director of the French Academy oi Medicine, said that ih 10 ySafs Britain woufd have a geheration oi yoUng men and woinen siipefior physically aiid mentally to those of any other Eurbpean country. "The British children I saw were magnificent, ' ' he said. ' ' I ari! convinced that the excellent physical condition of these children is due to their feeding. Their diet is perfectly halanced. Their system of milk in schools, school feeding and extra protein nourisliment, has had the ohvious results." Professor Bonnet remarked that the contrast hetween the children and their patents was great. The adults looked tired and worn out. There was also a noticeahle diiference between the children who were hrought up under the sys'tem oi rationing instituted during the war and th'ose hrought up wifho'ut rationing.
