The source added that the Arab countries had invited COunt Bernadotte to come to Cairo if he. wished to contact the Afab ieaders. The Tr'ansjofdan Prerhler corifirmed ' that Count Bernadotte proposed the annexation to Transjordan of part of Palestine. "This would be tantamqUnt to r eturhing Transjordah to dependent status, bebause the proposed new siate would be under partial United Nations jurisdiction.
