Rahui Beat Levin Colts By Narrow Margin When Raukawa defaulted, to Levin on Saturday it was thought that the public had been deprived of the main game of interest, but.it was not long after the Levin Colts and Rahui took the field that it became obvious to the spectators that tney were abo,ut to wi'tness a really i worth while struggle. If anythihg, the colts' game would probably have overshadowed the main contest. " .. Aithough both teams at first j lacked combination, play improved: greatly as the game progressed. j The* final score was Rahui 2, Leyin Colts 1. Rahui was first to score, their goal coming late in the first spell. With 10 minutes to go before half time, Levin Colts gained the upper hand in forward play and pressed many attacks, during which some fihe dashes were witnessed. With ( abo\it five minutes of play' left in the first spell, the Colts. were un-r' lucky not to score, and it was only through lack of experience that they failed. From a penalty corner, however, Rahui broke away and their forward's, combining well, gave Windley an opportuniry which he quickly seized, shooting a neat goal to take his team inio the lead,. Repeated efforts were made by Levin to score again, but they failed. • Scorers for Rahui were Windley (2) and for Levin J. Gardiner.
