Motorists Should Now Have Registered
As from this mornmg, all motor vehicles on the road should carry on the right hand corner of tlieir windscreens the current registra-4 tion slips, which are mauve in colour. It was obvious today, however, that some motorists have overlooked this fact, as some vehicles were observed to be still displaying the green coloured slips of last year, thereby committing an offence under the trafffc regulations. Last year's driving licences also expired last night. To date the Levin Borough Councii has reissued licences to 808 drivers. A total of 1131 licensed drivers was shown on the council's oooks last , year. The Horowhenua bounty , Councii has to date re-lssued 1408 licences. Last year 1837 were shown as having been issued with ■ licences. •
