Pamir Reports From South Atlantic
WELLINGTON, Jupe 21. The barque Pamir was within 600 miles of tlie coast of South America at 6.30 p.m. on Sunday, accortliiig to the latest message received from the ship hy the Union Steam Siiip Company. She was nearly due east of Rio de J aniero and was steering eastward towards the Capq of Hood Hope when the winds permitted. . Ali ahoard were well. She had made good just over 900 miles in the past week, averaging six knots. She has ahout 600 miles to go to the south "before she meets the permanent westerly winds which will carry her to New Zealand.
