Received Monday, 10.25 am. LONDON, June 2Q, The English team for the secqnd test agamst Aus.tralia, commencing at Lor'ds on June 24, will be selqcted from the foliowlng thirteen; Yardley (captain), Edrich, EEardstaff, Hutton, Compton, Waslibi'oqk, Doliery, Bedser, Wright, Evahs, Laker, J. Young and Coxon, Of the 13, only Coxon has not playe'd before for England. Doliery, the other newcomer, played against South Africa in the first test in 1947. Coxon, who is a fast bowler, has been showing fine ali-round form this season. He has taken 32 wickets and scored 363 runs. Doliery has scored 936 rtpis, including two centuries, this season. The Australian Associate'd Press correapondent with the Australian team says that Coxon is a surprise selection. He was apparently chosen as a new ball bowler to rest Edrich, but he is considerably slower than Edrich. Doliery is a very sound rigbthand batsman, who is best on a turning wicket. It is proha^ble that the final choice for twelftn man lies between him and Hardstaff. Laker's inclusion in the team seems to depepd on Wright's fltness. It was announced today that Wright had recovered from the attack of lumbago which kept him out of the first test.
