Card Evening And Dance
A very enjoyable function in the form of a card evening and dance was held in the Raukawa Hall, Otaki, on Wednesday night. Dance music was supplie'd, by Miss Tahiwi and Mr. Upshall, and . the catering arrahgements were in the hands of Mrs. Royal. Messrs R. ! Carkeek and J. Miller were jolnt M.C's. Prize-winners were: Ladies: Mrs. W. Cootes 1, Miss B. Hakaraia 2. Men: Mr. J. Johnston 1, Mr. W. Nicholls 2. Speeial: Miss B. Cudby. The function was arranged by the Returned 'Services Association an'd it is their intention to commence a series of a further six card evenings shortly.
