Anglican Ladies' Guild
■ Rev. M. J. S. Wheeler opened the June meeting of the Anglican Ladies' Guild with prayer. Mrs. J. "D. Campbell was" proposed as a new member. Th'e annual bazaar will be held on Thursday, November 11, Following the presentation of the balance sheet in connection with the recent jubilee, the president, Mrs. W. Tricker, thanked Mrs. J. P. Allerby for the very able manner in which she carried out her responsibility of organising the jubilee dinner. Mrs. Allerby thanked her most efficient assistants, without whom she could not have done it. Mrs. R. P. LesI ter, one of the assistants, asked that special thanks be conveyed to 'Mr. Allerby for his help. It was ! recommended to the vestry that the icre'dit balance from the jubilee account be used as a nucleus for ! the fund for the removal of ■ the : church to the site next to the jParish Hall. An invitation is to be sent to the [Methodist and Presbyterian Church Guilds to join in a social afternoon at the Parish Hall on Wednesday, August 4. All guild members are asked to bring for the July meeting an entry for "an articie made from a sugar bag" competition for which I there 'will be a prize. An assort'ment of new and used garments were handed in for the save tne 'children campaign. Afternoon tea |was served by Mesdames E. R. Jones ■ and E. L. Hyde. I Twenty play.ers were present last j Tuesday afternoon at the progressive euchre party in the Parish ;Hall, held under the auspices of the guild and conducted by Mesdames W. Picard, A. H.
