Road and rail traffic in the western zones of Berlin piled np yesterday as a result of the Russians turning back many railway wagons because of alleged defeets and also holding np motor vehicles at the Elbe ferry, says Reuter's Berlin correspondent. * British control personnel stated that the Russians rejected 43 of 108 wagons dispatehed from Helmstadt in the British zone to Berlin and have in the last three days rejected 252. A mile and a-half long line of allied cars by last night were waiting to cros^ the Elbe ferry which was closed between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. The ferry yesterday was transporting oue ear at a time instead of the six at a time it was carrying on the, previous day.
