American Politicians In Verbal Salvoes
WASHINGTON, June 12. Nanjes that have rarely been applied to an American President are now being hnrled at President Truman from" all over the nation as the NRepublicans retaliate for his recent assertion that the present Congress is the Mworst Congress ever." The Rppublicans have issued statements replying that President Truman is the worst President the United States has ever had, but sojne of the verbal salvoes are far stronger. One Republican Congressman from the floor pf the House called him "a dirty little gamin." Senator Taft referred to him as "the gallivantiiTg' President," and declared Mr. Truman 's assertion would give aid and comfprt to Conununists and Pascists who wanted to destroy representative government.
