NAPIER, June 7. An opportunely droppe^ goal two minutes bofore the game enclecl, gave Hawke's Bay an S-all draw with Wairarapa in the annual Kings' Day Rugby match todav. Eour thousand spectators watched a thrill-packed contest on a niuddy field. Despite the conditions, play was open and spectacular, (jspeeiallv among the Wairarapa bavks among whom the All Black, Coueh, was a very bright star. A try 1 > v Watthews gave Wairarapa a 3mil lead at halftime. Earlv in the second half Frazer crosse'd for Hawke's Bav, Wislinowskv converting. Blake seored the visitors' second try, Coueh converting for Wairarapa to lead 8 — 5. -Tust before time Churclnvard dropped a field iroal which, under the new rule, enabled Hawke's Bay to equalise but not win.
