The King has directcd Earl Mountbatten, who relinquishes the Governor Oeneralship of the Dominion of Iudia .on June 21, to present to the Indian. Government tlie magnificent collection of gold plate. at Government House, New Delhi. ' This collection has been assembled during the terms of various British Viceroys, and occupies a special alcove in the Yicoroy 's House at New Delhi. The collection will be preserved as it stands bv the Tndian Government.
