Not all the 20,000,000 medals and stars have been minted but sufficient are now available to make an immcdiate issue. hlr. Attlee said that although this was done in the case of awards made for First World War service, it would not be possible to engrave tbe uames of recipients on the inack of the stars and tnedals.
