At a conferenee convened by the direction o'f the Minister of Labour this morning the City Council representatives accepted *in principl^ tlie suggestion made by the Department of Labour and Employment that a eertain number of relief drivers be appointed. The hnion is to consider the suggestion at a mass meeting this afternoon, and if favourable work will be fesumerf immediately. A further conferenee will then be held later.
