London Police Value Help of Press
LONDON, June 2. "Police contact and cooperation with the Press has "been strengthened during the year to our mutual advantage and that of the public/ ' said Sir Harold Scott, Metropolitan Police Conimissioner, in his report for 1947. "When so many factors contrihuted to keep crime at a high level, friendly and valuahle help of the Press and the puhlic cooperation which they have enlisted on our behalf, have been an encouraging feature. ' '
