Onslow Riflemen Visit Hautere
| Last Saturday 17 members of the Onslow Ribe Club journeyed to Hautere and fired a friendly match against the local marksmen. Conditions were dull with misty showers and the wind was tricky. with the habit of veering at frequent intervals. In welcoming the visitors, the president, Mr. H. A. Lumsden, mentioned that the Onslow skipper, Mr. D. Mackersay, was a member of the Hautere Ciub some 30 years ago. Mr. Lumsden wished' him and his members the best of shooting. In reply, Mr. Mackersay sincerely thanked Hautere for their invitation for a pleasant day on the mounds. He pointed out the value of such friendly matches in encouraging the younger shots in match shooting on different ranges. In a teams match of the best eight, the Hautere team won by 14 points.
