Responsible obseryers there see virta--ally no possibility of an unqualified Arab acceptance of the eease flre. Arab senti'ment appears to be conSQlidating behind thet advocates of an all- out prosecution of the war against Zionism, At noon today the Egyptian and Syrian representatives at Lake Success said they expected te roceive instructions today, but there was "no indication of wha-t to expeet." The Jewish Provisional Govern--uent announced that it had ordered -all the Jewish forces to cease rire at three a.m. (Palestine time) on June 2 provided the Arabs did dkewise. The order was given on the assumption, firstly, that the ban on he Arab import of arms shall apply to the delivery of arms from stocks owned or controlled by foreign powers within the Arab States; secondly, that neither side vill seek to advance beyond their mesent positions; thirdly, freedom if access to Jerusalem for food and ;ther essentials; and, fourthly, -hat any attempt to stop of im)ede the normal transport of goods o Israel will be regarded as an act f armed force. Count Bernadotte, the United Nations mediator, left Tel Aviv by iir for Amman today to meet the Arab chiefs.
