Young Woman Dies Following Car Crash
' T r AUCKLAND, June 2. A young woman died in the Auckland Hospital two hours after the car in which she: was being 'driveri home from a dance ploughed through ' three shop verandah posts and stopped against a telegraph post in Mt. Eden Road shortly after midnight. The victim was: Shirley Agnes Jacqueling lyl'pore, aged 20, daughter of Mr. William James 'Moore, of Mt. Roskiil, a widower for whom his ill-fated daughter k-ept house. The two male accupants of the car were the driver, Earle Johnson, aged 15, of Otahuhu, who suffered slight head injuries and a cut on the knee, and Gi'aham Whittle, aged 16, of Otahuim, Who reeeived facial cuts and'shock. Miss Moore occupied the front seat with the driver. At an inquest it was stated that the car lights failed just before the crash. The inquest was adjouyned.
