She thought it was a great tnbute to Sister Hight that so many had gathered together that evening, said Mrs. Harvey in her opening remarks. "Many of us have knpwn her since she first arrived in Levin eight years. ago, but others Who have known her for only a short period also appreciate her helpfulness and understanding in the care of our children." She had beard it said by a visitor to the town that Levin had the healthiest and lovelipst babi-es in New' Zealand, which reflected great credit on the Plunket nurse, continued the speaker. Every person to whom she had mentioned it had spoken mOst highly of the sister's work among them. One mother . 'had said that she did not knowt'.how she coul'd ihave managed without the help of 'Miss Hight, which spoke volumes iand showed .the very high esffiem iri which Sister Hight was held. The Mothers' Club was deeply indebted to Miss Hight, pqrticularly as she was one of the foundation members of the club and ha'd taken such a keen and aetive interest in iti They would all . miss her greatly. , - Mrs. G. Hesp added her tribute on behalf of those mothers who are not members of the club. Miss Hight suitgbly acknowledged the tribu.tes and gift.
