BABY BOY'S DEATH IN COT

AUCKLAND, May 30. A 16-month-old boy was strangled when he beeame caught np in the rails of a cot at his home in Parnell on Saturday. He was Henry Lawrence Bean, son of Mr. H. J. Bean, of Parnell. The ehild was left piaying alone in his eot for a minute while his mother was attending to another ehild. When she returned to the room she found the baby's liody hanging outside the cot. The child's head was caught between the top of the cot and a rail that hq,d been added to the top to prevent him climbing out. He was freed immediately but was found to- be dead.
