GISBORNE FLOOD DAMAGE.

GISBORNE, May 29. It is estimated tliat the recent flooas caused £250,000 worth of damage "in the district. The biggest item is £67,000- for the loss of grazing ancl resowing. Other losses include live stock £33,000, maize crops £28,200, hav £10,000, fencing £9300, poultry £3500, silted drains £13 50, making a total ot nearly £163,000, to which has to be added the damage to house property, furniture, and motor-vehieles.
