CHR1STCHUROH, May 17. The fourtli main Christchurch wool sale of the 1947-48 selling seasoii, was held in the liadiant Ilail today. The offering comprised 10,5U0 bales of new season's wool and approximately 2000 bqles of J. Q, stock-pile wool. The. ohicial report'says the greatu selection was typieal of a fourth Christchurch wool sale and contained a large per,centage of . back country and discoloured wools. There was also a fair ofL'ering of Iloinney wool from the Chatham Islands. Comxietition was keen and prices realised were fully up to reeent overseas cxuotations und should be verv satisfaetory to growers. The offering of lambs ' wool" was eagerly competed for and prices were firmer than at the Christchurch April sale. Practieally the wliole of Llie offering was sold at auction.
