Improved Power Position
WELLINGTON, May 17. Thg North island used .46 per cent. less power than it was allotted for ttte week ended at 9 o'clock this morning. The Electricity Controller, Mr. A. E. Davenport, has advised ' North Island power authorities that for this week they may use the scheduled figure less 5 per cent. Last week they were allowed the schedule less 10 per cent. and the week before it was the scheduled figure less 15 per cent. 1 During the week up to this morniJig, the North island was allocated 28,904,000 units of power.
