WELLINGTON, May 14. ''An.v deeision other than timi reached by the Emergency Disputes Cominittee which eonsidered the Manga kino trouble would have made the engineers ' tusk impossible, " said Hon. R. Semple this afternoon. He expre'ssed satisfaction with the (inding. Tlie Xlinister added: "Any other .deeision would have been aecepted by the Comniunists not only as a victory but as legal licence to pursue tlieir evil way. The wages lost. by the men during the stoppage are estimated at somo £30,000 and the cost to the eountry. apart from the cost of the committee whicli would be consideralile, is estimatsd at approximately £100,000 in loss of fevenue.
