The same applied, said the Union Company, to the division of the numbers waiting as between sea and air ana the assertion £hat more passengers were waiting in Australia than in New Zealand. The company said no tourist agency had the facts. The experience was that waiting lists were not a reliabie guide as to the .number of passengers actually afiailable. As far as temporary insuffieiency of transportation by sea was concerned, that w&s aue dirOCtly to the nation 's paramount need of passenger ships in the recent war. It Was anticipated that it would be remfidied for the next tourist seafion, the company added.
