Tlie Prinie Minister (Mr. Praser) aunounced that the Gov'eriiment hal decided to recommend to the King tliai five separate M'aori receptions be included in the Royal itinerary in 1949. The loealities reconiniended are Rotorua, Waitangi, Gisborne, Ngaruawahia and one in tlie South Island. The pracLic« in respect to previous Ro.val tours was to hold one large Maori reception at Rotorua.
