Otaki May Have Extra Street Lighting

o The questicn of improved street i lighting came under discussion at the Otaki Borough Council meeting last night following the receipt of ja letter from the Horowhenua 'Electric Power Board statmg that 'as the ban had been lifte'd upon jthe erection of these lights, it jdesired to know what the council 's requirements would be. It was decided to instruct the works committee to look into tlie matter and make' a recommendation after viewing the locations of the present street lights. It is ,therefore to be hoped that extra lights will be place'd in the streets which have recently been opened up and perhaps somet of the lights taken away from areas where they are not needed.
