Building Inspector Wanted For Otaki

As the Health Inspector's district embraced a population of over 16,000, he would in future be unable to undertake any building inspection as ha'd been done in the past, said the Medical Officer of Health, Dr. T. C. Lonie, in a letter to the Otaki Borough Council last night. He would be pleased if the council would a'dvise him when it would be in a position to release Inspector W. J. Guinan from the work, he said, and in conclusion asked that the date should not be later than May 31. On a recommendation from the works committee, the council decided to advertise the position of building inspector for Otaki Borough. It was also decided that the position should entail two half-'days work each week and that the salary be fixed.
