I think a lot of farmers put the hydatid pills on a shelf and forget about them," said the chairman of the Horowhenua pounty Council, Mr. A. M. Colquhoun, when . the question of the carrying by dogs of hydatids, was discussed at yesterday's meeting. The matter arose on receipt by the councii of some pamphlets from the Department of Health, dealing with the subject, Mr. E. R. Winkler said that the department should be asked to distribute the pamphlets throughout the various branches of Ihe Federated Farmers. Another member said he would prefer to see thern distributed to the scfiools. "There's nothing like the youngsters to stir up their people," he saicl. They would get interested and want to know if father was giving the dog its pills. It was decided that this be a recommetidation to the department.
