U.S. Railway Strike Called Off
Received Tuesday, 9.45 p.m. WASHINGTON, May 10. . It is officially announced that 8* hours before the. deadline, Railway Union chiefs calle& off the strike. Tnis aetion followed their refusal to caii the strike off at a conference with Mx. Kenneth Royall and the issuing of an injunction by Federal Judge Aian Goldsborough on the application of the Attorney-General, Mr. Tom Gl'ark, festraining the RailwayJ' * Unions ■ from striking. Action was taken under the section of the Labour Law forbiddmg strikes against the Government . , ;
