Found guilty of murdering his wife, Thelina Clariee Mareo, by poisoning her with veronal, Mareo * was seatenced to death in 1935 but this was eommuted te life iniprisoument by the Execu/ive Fount-il. His release was granted oa :he m-oinmendation of the Priaons Board. I f e was driveft away from th# prison in a motor car.
