The manufacturers of concrete roofing tiles,: to whom the roofs ' were allocated, have been short of cement for several weeks. Bovis, reported to the Shannon BoroUgh Council at its meeting this week, that no objections were receive'd. to the council's public notice of the proposed application to the Local Government Loans Board for the sanction of borrowing £1500 for the purpose of laying four-inch water mains along Clapham Street to cfvl ? C4.e ^reefc and ^om Ballance Stieet to Vogel Street, in place of the present one-inch mains. On the motion of Cr. H. L. Norris seconded. by Cr. H.
