Methodist Ladies' Guild

The monthly meeting of the Otaki Methodist Ladies' Guild was held in the Otaki Methodist Church on Thursday afternoon. Rev. R. Grice occupied the chair. A welcome was' ..exten'ded to Rev. and Mrs. R. Grice, and Mrs. Grice was elected as president for the ensu-. ing year. Mrs. W. G. Taylor presented a report on the improvements recently carried out at the parsonage, and the accounts were passed for paymenl). Arrangements were made for the holding of a shop day at the beach on Friday, May 14. Congratulations were exten'ded to Mrs. Synnott on the fact that she was again well " enough to attend the guild meetings after her prolonged illness, and good wishe,s were also extended to Mrs. S. Best. Afternoon tea was served by Mesdames Radcliffe and K. Taylor.
