PcrsonHil Mr. Inia Te Wiata has been engaged to sing at Westmin ter Abbey on the occasion when Bi^h^p Bennett delivers his first sermoa there. Among interestad spectators at the football match at Otaki on Saturday was Constable A. C.. (Mick) Hobbs, who until recent years was a well-known player. The death occurred at Foxton! ecently of Mrs. Mary Elizabeth I Seabury, in her 92nd year. The | deceasCd had resided in Foxton for 74 years and was a general favour»ite. Mrs. W. Anderson, of Otaki Beach, is a grand-daughter. ^hooting Season Opens The shooting season opened on Saturday. Sportsmen report that ducks were plentiful on most of the lakes. Many visiting sportsmen were in this district. Hockey At Otaki _ . In the hockey match at. Otaki on Saturday Oid Girls B defeated Old Girls A by two goals to nil. Messrs. Henderson and Ralph were ' referees. In the Levin-Te Horo I (men's match) Te Horo won by five goals to two. Messrs. W. Ralph . and S. McDonald were referees.
