It is not yet known Whether this charge will be proeeeded with al Palmerston North on Tuesday, but Parnell will be held here to stand. his trial in the Supreme Court on the charges ni wliich true bills were returned last Alondav, unless the prisoner in the meamime reversgs his pleas to guilty in which case he probabiy would appear earlier before the Supreme Cottrt for sentenee. It- is expec.ted that Parnell will nor. appear before the Supreme Court for • l-ial before W-ednesday because the Court already has a tixtui'e .arrartged l'oi- the retrial of Brian Ilavill on a charge of unlawful carnal knowledge. The first hearing of the case took place last iMondav and Tuesday, the trial juiy failing to agre"e olx a verdict. Parnell will remain under heavy guard while he is accommodated in the Palmerston North loekup.
