DUNEDIN, April 29. ° Worker participation in. industry in New Zealand is coining. This was revealed this • lnoniing- at the annual, conference of the. Pederation of • Labour, by Mr. McLagan, Minister of Labour. "I want to diseuss with the national executive the ' question of worker participation in industry," he said. "This appiies to State and private industry • on a voluntary basis for a start but not finally.'-' Mr. McLagan went on ' to issue a warning to workers. "The Government opinion is that nationa.lisation of industry in itself is not sufilcient if it ineans nierely a change from private to State ownership. Workers have to realise that they will be-. come not -only part owners but also part managers and for that purpose it is necessary to seek the full cooperation of workers."
