WELLINGTON, April 29. "It is scandalous that the Minister will not cvcn let us plan, " said Mr. H, F. Toogood, when the Wellington Ilospital Board was considering the provision of further equipment for Ewart Ilospital, the board 's tuberculosis section. Thev could do nothing aboqt tuberculosis until the' Government had declared its policy, The ■ Government refnsed to give a straightout policy, he said. "I have protested at the tnadequate way in which the Government is tackling the problem. Dr. Taylor has been back from his world investigation for four nmnths. We know a Bill is to be brought down but what is the use of Acts if there is nowhere to act'?" said Mr. Toogood. .Mr. V. M. Simpson: How are you getting on with the site for the Western Dislriets sanatorinm ? M r. Toogood: Xowliere. We had a linsh hush letter recently. If the land had been pakeha land we would have had it l)v now. The Government is talking platiludes all the time but it is not getting on with the job, Mr. Toogood coutinued. "The sanatorium committee can do no more than this board until public opinion is stirred up to demand a policy.,,
