Hockey Boundaries Are To Be Reorganised
CHRISTCHURCH, April 30. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Hockey Association yesterday elected the following officers for the year: — Patron: Sir Bernard Freyberg; president: H. S. J. Goodman; treasurer: N. Quarterman; auditor: W. A. Hadlee; executive:. Messrs. R. Gracie, H. Throp, I. Davey, K. Hamilton, E. Cumrrfins, W. Williamson, and C. A. Rogers. At a subsequent meeting of the executive, Mr. L. S. J. Goodman was elected chairman and Mr. W. H. Down secretary. The affiliation fee was increased to £5 5s for each vote to which associations were entitled. A motion that a levy of 6d a player be imposed to provide for a fund for assisting provincial and New Zealand teams on tour, was lost, but a recommendation was passed that the executive draw up a scheme for a levy. A motion that boundaries be brought up to date aecording to the latest survey maps and that associations be asked for sugges* tions as to the reorganisation of Uieir boundaries, was approved.
