Levin W.D.F.F. Meets

A committee meeting of the Levin branch of the Women's Division of Federated Farmers was held recently. Mrs. A. M. Colquhoun presided ov.sr a good atten'dance, while apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Denton, Ryder and C. Adkin. Mrs. Colquhoun welcomed the new members of the fDmmittee and expressed thejiope tlmt they woul'd enjoy their association with it. She congratulated the branch on the sum already raised for the new rest home, "Scotlands," in Auckland, the total to date being7 £26 8s 6cl". Letters of thanks from recipients of food parcels sent to Britain were .read and it was -decided to send a further batch. Tentative arrangements for the celebr'atjon of the branch's 21st birthday in July were discussed, and these will be finalised later. Mrs. Colquhoun was elected delfegate to the annual conference, to be held at Dunedin in July, an'd Mesdames A, Stewart and Nichols were elected to the Manawatu provincial xecutive.
