Following a protest from the Horowhenua Union regarding the position of the Foxton Club, the N.Z. Rugby Union at its annual meeting yesterday, decided to advise that the New Zealand union had ! no record of any gentleman's .. agreempnt on . the matter between Manawata - -and Horowhenua, and had therefore acted accordirig to the rules in giving a^decision including Foxton in the Manawatu Union's area. It was agreed, howeyer, that if the two unions concerned were prepared to reach an agreement over the .dispute, the New Zealand xrnion would be quite willing to S'ive effect to this so long .as it was done constitutionaliy.
