WAITARERE'S MEETING
Mrs. Fagan presided over the April meeting of the. Waitarere Women's Institute. The business of the afternoon include'd the .eleetion of Mrs. Stanley as delegate to attend the- Dominion Federation conference at Wellington in August. The following appointments for the year were made: — -Competitions steward : Mrs. Aldrich; press correspondent: Mrs. Benning; stall holders in charge of bring-and-buy, Mesdames Millar and WeMon. A roll call of suggestions for future programmes brought forth many useful ideas. "Afternoon tea was served by Mesdames Aldrich 'and Benning, after which a presentation was made by the vice-pre'sident: Mrs. Aldrich, to the winners of the points prizes . for the year, Mrs. Fagan gaining first and Mrs. Stanley seeond. . -••• Competitioia. results. were as follows:— Three jars of jam: Mrs. Hoo'd 1 and 2, Mrs. Aldrich 3, Best bloom: Mrs. Stanley 1 ,Mrs. Aldrich 2, Mrs. Hood 3, Mystery parcel: Mrs. McBrearty. • " -
