Koputaroa W.I. Has Talk On Home Gardening

The monthly meeting of the Koputaroa Women's Institute was held last week when the usual business was dealt with, Mrs. Psne •presiding. A, feature of the afternoon was an interesting talk by Mr. Sells on all the aspects of home gardening. He- and his wife and family were later entertained at afternoon tea. Mrs. Keenan won the monthly competition for the best fiower and Mrs. Netten that for the best shrub. Deborah Guy won the junior fiower competition. A competition for the hest plate of biscuits went to Mrs. A. Koberstein, with Mrs. Guy seeond. Marie Brown won the junior, competition for sweets in a fancy box. Members brought a tin of fat for inclusion in a parcel which will be seftt to the English iink. Next month they have been asked to bring a tin df biscuits for the same purpose. - The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesaames Addinell and Baker.
