Levin W.D.F.F. Enters 21st Year of Work

Beautifully decorated for the occasion by Mrs. W. J. Summers, the Oddfellows' Hall was recently the venue for the twentieth annual meeting of the Levin branch of the Women's Division of Federated Farmers. The senior vice-president, Mrs. H. J. Xancaster, was in the chair and welcomed all members and friends, specially mentioning Mrs. W. Bodell, who, until her 'departure fr.om Levin to reside in Palmerston North, was president of the branch. • Mrs. Lancaster also r.eferred to the illness of a vice-president, Mrs. L. Griffith, and the honorary secretary, Mrs.. C. E. C. Webb, and wished both a speedy recovery. - The Dominion tl'easurer, Mrs. H. J. McLeavey, conducted the election of officers for the ensuing year, this resulting as follows: — President: Mrs. A. M. Colquhoun; honorary secretary: lyirs. C.. E. C. Webb; honorary treasurer: Mrs. Geange. Mrs. McLeavey gave a short a'ddress on division matters and, by request, ^n interesting description of the newly-acquired rest home at Auckland. This is called "Scotlands," and is situated at Onehunga. It is surrounded by beau- ■ tiful gardens and an orchard, an'd will prove a restful haven for country women in need of a rest and change. "Scotlands" is the fourth rest home bought and con.ducted by the division, the other three being "Kainga-Moe," Palmerston North, "Melrose," Nelson, and "T,e Kiteroa," Waimate.
