Manakau W.I. Meets

There was a good. attendance at the April meeting of the Manakau Women's Institute, held recently. Miss Cotter and Mrs. Dorset were appointed delegates to the f orthcoming council meeting. The saies table is to be revived for members' own benefit; Mrs-. Cornelius offered to take charge and it is hoped that it will be supported by' all members. As the programmes for the year are not ready, they are to be posted to all members. - After the business the president, " Mrs. Barberry, made a small presentation to Mrs. Mayman, who is leaving Manakau, with the good wishes of all members. ■ Presentations were also maae to Miss Cotter, the retiring president, and to Mrs. Willis, who has been secretary for 11 years.
