Personal Mr. Jack Guy, who has been on holiday in the South Island. . returned to- Otaki on Tuesday liight. Mr. Jack Johnson, after a trip to Nelson and Blenheim, returned . home on Tuesday night. . • Ladies' Guild at Beach At a meeting of residents at the beach., at which the vicar,- Canon H. E. K. Fry, presided, it was decided to form a ladies' guild in connection with the Beach Chuxch Hall. Mrs. Peters was elected president, Miss M. Holmes secretary and Mrs. W. J. Anderson treasurer. Burglaries During the past few weeks burglaries have been prevalent in the Otaki-Manakau district, a gold wristlet watch, - pearl necklaces, money, etc., having been stolen from two residences. There have been thr.ee burglaries within the course of a few weeks. The thefts are said to have taken place in daylight.
