Roosevelt, said: "President Roosevelt was ono.of the most outstanding men of our time. He was a great war leader but also a great man of peace and a great citizen oi the world, Tho memorial will be a permanent reminder of our comradeship with the American people in the dark days of the war." : . The American Ambassador, Alr. Lewis Bouglas, speaking on Anglo- American relations, said history recorded no similar concert among the nations. It was the handiwork of two great wartime artisans — Mr. Churchill and Alr. Roosevelt.
