AGREEMENT REPORTED
NEW YORK, April 10. An agreement -has been reaclied at Bogota to form a eoalition governrnent of Conservatives and Liberals as a "possible solution" of the political impasse. This was announeed by the Colombian Vice-President, Dr. Eduardo Hantos, who is himself a Liberal leader and wlio is stopping in New York for a few days on his way horne from Paris. Dr. Santos said he had reeeived a communication from the Liberal Party | leadefship in Bogota saying: "We are eonfident the' formnla for the hoav Cabinet will permit. joint action bv the Liberals and army to put an end to the mutinies. - . Dr. Santos added that President Mariano Ospina Perez remains irt power
in Coloinbia and that the army is in eontrol of the situation though dis trirbances still ccmtinne iii some important sectors. The new Cabinet was sworn in and immediately held its iirst meeting. ■ The Btate Department at Washington has been informed that 500 troops of the Presidential Guard, ineluding ouedetachment of tanks, are apparently policing the city. The. Liberals have been given six of b°> ministries, ineluding Avar, education and interior, while the Conservatives retain, among otliers, foreign relaliofis, treasurv, coriimunications and labuur.
